With the amendment in 'Consumer Protection Act 2019' the pecuniary jurisdiction of the Consumer Courts have been revised. Consequently nearly all medical matters would be at District commissions.

Adv. Tannu Kumari (associate) is an alumna (Batch of 2025) of Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She has a keen interest in Medical Law, Surrogacy Law, and Constitutional Law.
She has previously handled debt recovery matters before various forums, including District Courts across Delhi and the Debt Recovery Tribunal. She has gained practical experience in representing clients and managing litigation in financial recovery disputes.
At present, she is primarily engaged in handling surrogacy-related matters in compliance with the provisions of the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021 and the applicable Rules. In addition, she is actively involved in matters pertaining to medical negligence before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions (DCDRC).
